| Existing in Tso Chuan, 34 accounts or speeches of Confucius contain esteeming the status of the king, safeguarding the system of Zhou dynasty, upholding Ren, showing concern for the living of the people, and also reflect some aspects of Confucius' character and thinking, which are to some extent different from that in the Analects of Confucius. From analysing the link between Confucius' speeches and Tso Chuan, we can draw a conclusion that people worship extremely the moral qualities during the Spring and Autumn Period, and the writer of Tso Chuan believe that the moral qualities of ruling class is the decisive role in the historical tend. |
