Study Of Ha Jin's Novels

As the representative writer of American overseas Chinese literature, Ha Jin continuously gained a lot of American literature big prizes. This phenomenon itself is worthy of thinking about. And I'd like to dig the kernels and referable points by writing this dissertation. First,I give my distinction about the definition of American overseas Chinese writers and American writers of Chinese origin. Next is the actualities and problems about the research of Ha Jin at home and abroad. On the basis of his texts, the main body is a whole picture of Ha Jin's novels and fictions. It concludes five parts,that is,theme analysis(love and sex, absurdity of living), favoritism of contemporary era theme, depiction of northeast China traits, small characters and female colony, narrative techniques(person and angle of view,details and scenery)and tongue feature(svulgarism and dialect,vulgarity and jokes about sex and epoch tinge). These above are based on Ha Jin's three novels, a novella and three collections of fictions. I use a lot of examples to make my ideas feasible and draw my own creative conclusion at last. The appendix is a form of all Ha Jin's productions.
