Current Research On Chinese Local Art Groups

In the history of Chinese fine arts, especially in the modern period, the local fine arts association plays an important role in the fine arts activity and makes a great contribution for the development of fine arts enterprise in our country. Of recent, the domestic experts pay much attention to the fine arts association. By the literature collection, the author discovered most scholars only attach importance to the fine arts activity during the Republic of China and "85' new trend in art". However, the study on the current fine arts activity is rare. Taking this kind of activity as its object and "Oil Painting Institute of Quzhou" as a typical case, this paper will analyze the situation and value of the current fine arts groups, and then will acknowledges its function in the fine arts activity.The paper consists of the following five parts.1. Introduction. At first, the paper will propose a definition to the local fine arts association. The local fine arts association refers to those non- government, initiated by the folk organizations. The paper then has a thorough grasp of the present research on the fine arts association and presents some problems. Few researches on the current fine arts association have been done, though it has its own value and significance. Next, the paper states its research methods which are case study and field survey. In the end, the paper interprets its research significance.2. The paper summarizes the history of the local fine arts association and then divides the history into three periods, including pre-liberation, before open door policy and after open door policy.3. From the politic, economic and cultural perspectives, the paper analyzes the reason for the formation of local fine arts association.4. The paper studies "Oil Painting Institute of Qu Zhou" as a typical case. This case study covers its background, development, notion, and main activities.5. The paper examines the condition and value of the local fine arts association, and analyzes its contribution for national and local construction.
