| Prospective memory refers to remembering to carry out an intended action at the appropriate time in the future. There are three types of prospective memory: event-based prosective memory, time-based prospective memory and activity-based prospective memory. After the conception of prospective memory was established, it got the focus of many psychological researchers. Psychologists had begun to carry out a lot of researchs, especially on prospective memory's cognitive mechanisms. A series of experiments has carried out in the current research. We try to explore if the distribution of cognitive resource works on prospective memory in a college participant' cognitive process . In experiment one we explore if the distribution of cognitive resource affects the prospective memory task . In experiment two, we explore if a positive or negative social stimulate affects individual' distribution of cognitive resource, and then it influences individual' performance of prospective memory.The results were as follows:1. The distribution of cognitive resource is significant affected the prospective memory. Under the same conditions, when participants form prospective memory intentions, they assign some cognitive resource to prospective memory to monitor whether the prospective cues emerge or not. |
