We cannot help but be sorry.For such an anthology there is still dissension that who was the editor. It was reputedly edited by Yuan Haowen (Jin Period), and annotated by Hao Tianting (Yuan Period). To deny this, however, discommenders put forward all arguments. Hence there is still no last word about the original visage of this anthology. The editor paid his attention to many general poets with lower repute, rather the great master such as Li Bai and Du Fu, Han Yu and Meng Jiao, Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi. Here the editor showed his particular tenet when he made choice.
