The Visual Lingual Research Of Animation Characters Design

The thesis based on the visual lingual research of animation character design; aim to search deeper potentials of animation art. Thus explore the way of designing animation characters by visual language and look forwards to develop the thought of designing so that the quality of animation could be improved.Thesis founded on the framework of the lingual character of synchronic and the lingual character of diachronic interactive model in semeiology, it separated character design of animation into dynamic state and static state and seeded on the symbol differences to the synchronic sign and diachronic sign in order to study the representative form of animation characters image designing and synthetizing vision symbol in deeper hiberarchy correlation, thereby set up a complete model for understanding and designing animation characters. Emphases as followings:(1)Elements of visual language has character of randomicity. It derives new means of combination by a kind of chain formation, so called symbolized significance. Visual elements will influence the ultimate effects for animation characters by itselves and therefore explain images by metaphor and metonymy.(2)Visual lingual of synchronic has the symbolic characters.
