Investigation And Study On Anhui Flower-Drum-Lantern Music

Huai River Valley is one of the birthplaces of Chinese culture and the main mixing area of South and North culture. Anhui Flower-Drum-Lantern is the folk song-and-dance art of Han nationality which spread in the middle reaches of Huai River. Anhui Flower-Drum-Lantern music among it is the outstanding representative of many kinds of cultural tradition in this area. At first, this thesis expounded art connotation of Anhui Flower-Drum-Lantern music. And then it discussed the origin of Anhui Flower-Drum-Lantern music. This thesis investigated systematically the art school of Anhui Flower-Drum-Lantern music by the method of ethnomusicology. Anhui Flower-Drum-Lantern music has abundant art forms. This thesis studied systematically its three aspects, which constituted by Flower-Drum-Lantern song, Flower-Drum-Lantern gong and drum and after-scene opera. On this base, this thesis discussed society function of Anhui Flower-Drum-Lantern music and its importance in the subjects of musicology and culture-anthropology in the respects of musicology and culture-anthropology.
