As the first criticism movement after the foundation of the People's Republic of China, the "argumentative movement" of the film "The life of Wu Xun" possesses special significance in the history of Chinese contemporary literature. In terms of literary trends, the argumentative movement of "The life of Wu Xun" has its inevitability to occur and develop. The argumentative movement develops the operational mode of "rectification movement" in Yan'an. In the occurring period of contemporary literature, the press media's special operational mechanism places an important role in the promotion of literary movement. The movement is a complex outcome produced by both administration and press. During the coordination prosecuted by political ideology on literature, the writers obtain a clearer mind over the specific connotation of the New Democracy's cultural standardization. Humanism and humanity-theory are replaced by hierarchy-theory, while eulogizing new socialism images becomes the theme of literary works. Romanism and idealism fervor are the communal characteristics of these heroic characters. The argumentative results in a loss of the diversification of spiritual beliefs and a further strengthening on duality-combating thinking mode, as a result, intellectuals ingratiate the mainstream, and gradually abandon their didacticism merits and stands.
