Some Views About Concordant Sculpture

At present, the construction of cities in our country is already entered a stage of high-speed development. The city sculpture becomes an important part of the representative of a modern city and it is close related to material civilization and moral civilization. It plays an important role not only in improving the quality of a modern city's surroundings, but also in expressing people's feelings and concepts. It also plays an important role in sharing the aesthetic resources. The author makes an analysis in the situation of the development of modern cities'sculpture. The author explores the further problems and reasons in the situation of the development of modern cities'sculpture and gives some solutions. It is said that functions of the sculpture art in modern cities is to improve people's living quality, optimize people's living pattern and improve the quality of cities'surroundings and qualities. It is also has the functions of enhance the cultural atmosphere. Based on the function of sculpture art, the author introduces the conception of concordance into the study of city sculpture. The article concerns on exploring and analysing the connotation and the extension of modern city sculpture art. It gives some solution in solving the city sculptures lack of specific character and lack of the historical and cultural features. It also gives some suggestions in how to make the surrounding of cities more concordance by using the city sculpture.The article was divided into eight chapters. The article starts from the understanding of public sculptures in modern cities and combines with the experience of doing projects to set forth the connotation and the extension of sculpture art in modern cities, the existent problems and its solutions. In the first part, the author makes an analysis in non-concordance phenomenon in city sculpture and explains some related conceptions. This part shows the purposes and the significance to do this study. Chapter two to chapter six is the second part. This part set forth the relationship between city sculptures and the surroundings, the skill of process materials, the colour and the technology. The inexorable relation between the sculpture and the factors of sociology is also expounds in this part. This part also expounds the common characteristics of concordant sculpture. The seventh chapter discusses the issue about the development of city sculpture. This article put forwards the basic principles that the author assumes about cities'public art designing to solve the problem that the sustainable development of city sculpture art.
