Research On Affixes Of Zhangshu Dialect In Jiangxi Province

Content: The phonetic system of Zhangshu dialect belongs to the Yiliu group in the Gan dialect. Adding the affix to the stem to form a new word is an important word-building method. Affix of Zhangshu dialect can be divided into different types according to different standards, this paper roughly divides nearly 20 common affixes in Zhangshu dialect into four kinds, according to the morphological feature the affixes labels, that is, noun affixes, verb affixes, adjective affixes and measure word affixes. Among them, several affixes which have indefinite meanings and can producing large quantity of new words, such as "叽","仔","咑",etc, can form several kinds of parts of speech.This paper describes affixes and their usage in Zhangshu dialect on the basis of analyzing a large number of language materials, investigates especially the shapes to analyze each affix forms , grammar functions and semantic behaviors. The functions of affixes in Zhangshu dialect displays to be abundant, reflect on the following aspects specifically: in morphological aspect, there are word-formation function and supplement syllable function; in semantic aspect, there are meaning-expressing function and meaning-distinguishing function; in grammar aspect, there is a function that determine the nature of words.
