The Discovery And Study On Shitaizi City And Its Ambient Tombs Of Koguryo Mountain Castle

The article used the archaeological method and combining with documentary datum, fully analyses and studies the nature, status, name and original era of the Shitaizi Mountain Castle by the mountain castle and tombs, which bases on much anterior work. The article includes eight parts.The first part is prologue. This part simply introduces the working situation of the Shitaizi Mountain Castle and the scholars viewpoint about the mountain castle.The second part is the discovery, excavation and research of the mountain castle and tombs. This part introduces the location of the mountain castle and depicts the discovery and excavating circumstances at different zones year after year, the discovery and excavating circumstances of Koguryo tombs among the mountain castle and recent studing outcome of the mountain castle. Excavating the city-wall, Mamian, the residing zone, the reservoir, the overlooking step, etc of the mountain castle and tombs among the mountainous city, is the recent central outcome through archaeological excavation. Most recent research is limited to studing the mountain castle, but tombs among the mountain castle are not studied. The common research on the mountain castle is limited to studing the placement of the mountain castle, the structure of the city-wall, the recuperation of the city-wall and the city-gate, etc. But there is no all-round research on the city and tombs.
