Shu Pu is a book that the Tang Dynasty calligraphist Sun Guoting composed with the parallel style to talk about the theory of calligraphy. Although it saves the preface only, involves widely, discusses deeply. It has the important academic value. Shu Pu have been having profound influence to the calligraphy theories. There have been many people to cite and research it each dynasty. Xiang Mu of the Ming Dynasty wrote a book named Shu Fa Ya Yan, which just was the work that inherited and developed the theory of Shu Pu. At the same time, the painting of Shu Pu wonderfully inherits cursive technique of writing of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi, and also is an excellent copy to today's learners .Although the researchers of Shu Pu have been many, it's still not enough deeply and completely to its theoretical exploration.
