The Special Group In Minguo Society

As the last generation of"Yimin"(old adherents of a former dynasty) in China ,Wanqing Yimin were gaven special and complicated character by the the special history background.Their existence appearance and influence to the society were different from Yimin of other Dynasties in Chinese history.The special character of Wanqing Yimin reflected the complicated social condition of Early Minguo .In order to understand deeply the group of Wanqing Yimin and the Chinese society which was during a transformation period ,author studied the questions about Wanqing Yimin in this article.This article is divided into three parts on the structure.In chapter 1,author mainly studied about the defination and classification of Wanqing Yimin. First ,author defined"Yimin". Second, the development and change of Yimin's history were described. Finally, author classified and definated Wanqing Yimin."Yimin"means the intelligentsia who lived during the period of dynastic changes and didn't official new dynasty. At the sametime, Yimin also must be honest adherents of the former dynasty. The earliest Yimin are Boyi and Shuqi who lived in Zhou Dynasty. The integral and ripe group of Yimin appeared in Early Jin Dynasty and Early Qing Dynasty. Wanqing Yimin can be divided into political Yimin and cultural Yimin. Political Yimin thought politics was more important than culture and gone in for restoring the rein of Qing Dynasty.
