Urban Context Image Analysis Of Taiyuan

City is mankind's crystallization of both material civilization and spiritual civilization. It is the miniature of history and culture, and also the cultural view that indicates the economic development. Urban context image could be the sign and carrier of urban history and culture. This text reviews the outline of the urban image and its research background with the theoretical system of subdivision of urban image. Meanwhile, the article illustrates the comprehension and definition of urban image from the perspective of its subsystems. Context image refers to the image formed from the city exterior features, which consist of readable and historical style, and that will have influence on public subjective consciousness.
