After second Opium War, the west capitalist country obtained the right to go to the Chinese inland for pleasure to do missionary work.Suzhou as the most famous city in south China ,with its glorious history and the magnificent culture attracted a lot of foreign churches to come and found the enterprise. Among these foreign missionaries emerged some female ones who made quite a few achievements. They propagandized the religious doctrine among the Suzhou women, and developed the believers;.They had set up the first modern female school of Suzhou, holding the beginning of the Suzhou female education.They established the medical enterprise and trained the female doctors and nurses for Suzhou. They also opposed the feudal vulgar customs, and initiatived positive new healthy social atmosphere. These female missionaries' a series of activities all produced to the Suzhou society both positive and the negative influence.
