Research On Noumenon Of Chinese Character From Rhetorical Angle

Content:Chinese character is a writing symbolic system, it is not only a typical carrier of our national culure, but also one of our culture treasures. Form is the noumenon of Chinese character and the basic research object of Chinese character science.After the research of the noumenon of Chinese character from the rhetorical angle, we have found that the noumenon of Chinese character and rhetoric influence each other. On the one hand, the noumenon of Chinese character is materials of rhetoric, this is so-called Chinese character rhetoric. The figures of speech of Chinese character rhetoric contains disassembling character, assembling character, stroke-minus, stroke-adding, form-loan, form-combination, lianbian, form-transforming, character-reversing. Through analyzing examples of the nine figures of speech, we found that the production of Chinese character rhetoric bases on the stratification, ideographic nature and square appearance of the form. Receptive psychology of Chinese character rhetoric is affected by cultural psychology and Gestalt psychology. On the other hand, through analyzing the form of the small seal script in Shuo Wen Jie Zi and some of their inscriptions on bones or tortoise shells and inscriptions of ancient bronze, we found that the structure of Chinese character contains equilibrium principle, choosing images to construct character has used figures of speech: lie-jin, metonymy, trope, form-reduplicating, setting-off.The research of Chinese character rhetoric breakes through the restriction of traditional Chinese rhetoric concept. It affirms the rhetorical functions of non-lingustic stuff, and that is significant for constructing intact Chinese rhetoric. Moreover, it shows that Chinese character also has rhetorical value. The rich figures of speech in the form construction of Chinese character implys that Chinese characte is a creation which embodys our ancestor's thought and cognitive level. It can be used as reference data and evidence for other disciplines. The relationship between the noumenon of Chinese character and rhetoric indicates that Chinese character like Chinese has independent existing value, they all serve for the communication of Han nationality from different angle.
