Sculpture, as a kind of art beautifying human beings environment, has its special art rules, the most important of which is the harmony and union between sculptures and the environment. Theoretically, the harmony and union between sculpture and the environment is the base principle for sculpture art creation. As a kind of public art, sculpture has un-separate close relationship with the public space and environment. So environment should be considered fully as an important factor for the design as a whole. Practically, the combination between sculptures and the environment needs to be implied from the following aspects: 1. The size of the sculpture should be in proportion with the environment space. The sculpture size has to be designed scientifically according to the particular space of the environment. 2.The form and structure design of the sculpture should be in harmony with the environment, and it determine the sculptures whole visual effect. However, the reasonable form design and the appropriate material selection can make the perfect combination and communication between the sculpture and the environment. 3.The subject and the content of the sculpture should be in harmony with the culture. The sculpture subject must be in harmony with the culture for the sculpture has educational function, communicate certain culture information. So the communication of the information should not betray with the local culture. The sculpture exists with the environment each other and cannot be separated. Only abiding by the said rule, the excellent sculpture with perfect visual effect can be designed out.
