In modern times, owing to the rapid rate of economic development, mass media has seen an unprecedented rate of development. A seemingly limitless increase in the quantity of media information, has led to an increase in the amount of information the general public receives, with people's attention-span reducing. It's in this context that the concept of the attention-span economy has become widely accepted. The"attention economy"has as its focus of discussion the audience's attention to specific information, its begins with the stimulating of the audience's demands and interests and promotes successful hits and the real use of specific information, thereby adding momentum and producing results.Print media advertisements currently subsist in an age typified by a low level of attention-span, the audience has more scope to choose or not to choose, it's no longer the paper that selects its readers but the readers who select the paper, if you want to triumph in a climate of fierce competition, then you need to use a strategy based on the economy of attention-span. If you want your print advertisements to attract the attention of the audience, firstly you must research the various visual elements of newspaper information and its external aspects such as colour, images, product, size and positioning, these are the prerequisites for stimulating the hit rate and increasing the impact of visual communication. As well as this there should be thorough and penetrating research of the many creative elements involved in how newspaper advertisements attract the attention of an audience.
