"Yin Sheng Ji Yuan"is a phonology book written by Wu Jishi , who was a HuiZhou businessman in Ming Dynasty. The book was finished in 1611, which epoch was WanLi 39 of Ming Dynasty. The theories of Temperament, Changes, Solar terms, and so on, were used in this book, so it had been regarded as a music book. In the meanwhile, the Volume one and Volume five include the contents of DengYun actually, so it becomes a member of JingXue books. Today most of scholars study on it from this point.The YunTu in"Yin Sheng Ji Yuan"is very similar to the YunTu in the Song and Yuan Dynasty. Obviously it is a YunTu which is very fossil. In the book, the author intentionally reserves the phonetic characteristics of Middle History of China. But on account of the changes of the years, some phonetic characteristics of Ming Dynasty are left unconsciously. Just as above words, we regard"Yin Sheng Ji Yuan"as a DengYun book ,which can reflect the sounds of reading books in Ming Dynasty. Studying on"Yin Sheng Ji Yuan"is very helpful to analyse the language status of Ming D-, search after the track of language developments, study the latter-day sounds.About"Yin Sheng Ji Yuan", most of the scholars place the emphasizes on the problems, such as the compiling characteristics of YunTu, the frame of the book, phonetic characteristics, etc. But the study is not enough.
