The Study On Syntactic And Semantic Of "A+Xia Lai"

"Adjective +Xia Lai"("A+ Xia Lai"for short)is a kind of important structure in modern mandarin. On the base of the existent researching, we use the semantic category of quantity and the dynamic motion in this paper, researching on the syntactic and semantic properties of"A+ Xia Lai".The main contents include:1.We describes the syntactic properties of"A+ Xia Lai". From the format, there are primary form and four variant forms. They are function as predicate and the center of predicate.2.We research the semantic properties of adjective, we deem that adjective have the static meaning. However,when they enter into the structure of"A+Xia Lai",they are provided with the dynamic meaning. They have properties of [-quantified],[+continuant],which allow adjective express the continuous change of character.3.We focus on the function of indicating direction about Xia Lai. We divid"eXia Lai"into"Xia"and"Lai",and find the rule of indicative function after combination between the two part."Xia"mainly shows reduced trend of quantity, on the other hand , the subjective mind of the speakers correlate with"Lai". On this basis, we analyze semantic properties and indicative function of"Xia Lai".4.We discuss the integrated meaning of"A+ Xia Lai".First ,we analyse the dynamic meaning of"A+Xia Lai". Then compareing it with"A+Le",we conclude that"A+Xia Lai"has strong dynamic meaning.
