Sino-Soviet relations in 1917-1924 are the beginning of the whole history of Sino-Soviet relations, existing more than seventy years, which is very important for the study on Sino-Soviet relations. The theory of multi-factor equilibrium is a new theory on International Relations, which can offer a complex explanation for Sino-Soviet relations of an analytical character, from a historical perspective. An attempt to understand Sino-Soviet interaction through multi-factor equilibrium encourages integrative analysis. The conclusion of the study is that: we can look at Sino-Soviet relations as a process in which a multi-factor equilibrium of the system readjustment occurs.This article consists of five sections. In the first section, this article introduces the scholarly depth of the field in the study on Sino-Soviet relations, and the structural framework of the article. The specification of multi-factor equilibrium will be introduced in the second section. And we will examine how the system readjustment occurs. A conclusion is that Sino-Soviet relations in 1917-1924 are an equilibrium progress, which fluctuates within given limits, in the third section. This article will point in the forth section, that the stable equilibrium of Sino-Soviet relations, which is formalized by the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Soviet Union in 1924, is more beneficial to Soviet Union. Finally, it is concluded that, for a stable partnership between China and Russian while avoiding unintended and unnecessary conflicts, we should avoid or eliminate the negative effects from the geographic and political factors. |
