On The Sentences Starting With "就是" From Various Angles

This thesis discussed the sentences starting with "就是"(including the simple sentences, shorten sentences and clauses all starting with "就是"). Based on three level theories and the principles of combining forms with meaning, static state with dynamic state and descriptions with explanations, this thesis studied the sentences starting with "就是" from various angles, trying to make the investigations, descriptions and explanations ample.This thesis consists of six parts.Introduction It introduced the current research situation relevant to the sentences starting with."就是" and the meanings and methods of this study;set the range of the sentences starting with "就是" in this study and introduced the material resource.Ⅰ. Study on the characters of "就是" in the sentences starting with "就是". This part focused on the investigation of the characters of "就是"in both forms of "就是 + 名"and "就是+非名" as well as the characters of "就是"in the sentences only using"就是" and in the sentences using "就是+语气词". Meanwhile it discussed the relationship of "是" used as a verb and as a mood adverb, and also the relationship of "就" used as an adverb and a conjunction.Ⅱ. Study on the patterns of the sentences starting with"就是". This part centered on the analysis of the second half of the sentences starting with "就是" and investigated the types and characters of both the simple sentences and complex sentences starting with "就是".III. Study on the modes of the sentences starting with "/j.it;H". This part first investigated the valence and semantic role of "H:" as a connective verb. Then it analyzed the types and characters of the extended mode constructed by "ift^" as a verb nuclear. Finally it did an analysis on the semantic direction of "it" or "UctI" as an adverb in the sentences starting with "iJc;*§".IV. Study on the pragmatic discourse of the sentences starting with "fjt^;". This part investigated the pragmatic meanings, information structure and pragmatic function of the sentences starting with "ifc/lk". It also did investigations on its discourse, such as its distribution of the type of writing and chapter function. Then it analyzed the atmosphere of superfluous words of" i^il" and "WLjkift"- Lastly, it did a simple analysis on "^FHH".Conclusion Draw a conclusion to the whole thesis.
