Yan Geling is a famous chinese-American writer .In more than twenty years , she wrotemany forms of literature , including nine full—length novels , lots of novellas , somescreenplays and bibliobrophys . most of them cause a wide attention and durative remark inacademia . The target of this thesis is make a comprehensive critic about her publicatedworks . It has two parts . The former is about the themes of works . The author want tounscramble them one by one , which are involved abnormal love , culture , female andhumanistic . These themes reveal the objective view of writer when she introspect theprogress of Chinese history . The latter which is about artistic characteristics has four parts ,from doleful style to narrantive skill , from the use of image to the grasp of depthpsychology .
