From Language-stressing To Image-pursuing

Dictionary of MaQiao shows the importance of language, expresses the philosophical idea that man is surrounded by language. Hint uses language to challenge language, uses language to expose the life reality which is hidden by language, tells the ancient Chinese language and image ideas which stressed too much on image and neglected language and language couldn't fully tell the meaning. From Dictionary of MaQiao to Hint, Han Shaogong changes his idea of language from language-stressing to image-pursuing. This change shows that he responds quickly to the transition of the times under new historical condition. It reflects his efforts to pursue the reviving of traditional culture.The body of this thesis consists of three chapters: The first chapter expatiates the theory basis and the characteristic of Han Shaogong's idea of language in Dictionary of MaQiao. The second chapter investigates the theory resource and the characteristic of Han Shaogong's idea of language in Hint. The third chapter analyzes the reason of the change and the similarity and difference of the language idea in Dictionary of MaQiao and Hint.
