Su Shunqin and his poems and prose are studied primarily in this paper. The paper includes the contributions that Su Shunqin gained in his poems, the process of the case of JinZouYuan and Su Shunqin's state of mind in his final period. The paper have four chapters. In chapter one I analyses the spirit of Su Shunqin's bold and constrained poems. In this chapter, my main viewpoint is that Su Shunqin's bold and constrained poems reflect the special spirit of civil officials who lived in Song Dynasty. It includes they attached importance to reality, had intense enthusiasm to participate in politics and loved their country specially. Then I analyses the artistic style of Su Shunqin's bold and constrained poems. Their form approaches prose and their language is strange and cruel. These peculiarities unify to their spirit. At last, I analyses Su Shunqin's poems have philosophy.In Chapter Two, I have discussed the questions about the case of JinZouYuan. First I inquire to the reason why Su Shunqin and his colleagues were punished. In appearance, they were punished because of having drunk and said excessive words. In fact, they were thought that they were reformers. The leaders of this reform had lost their advantages and could not protect them.
