《Tristan und Isolde》 is one of the long-spread representative works by German opera master wagnar. With the combination of music, language and plot arrangement, wagnar narrates the tortuous love story between Tristan and Isolde, and praises the trans-worldliness, trans-life as well as the non-scruple of Isolde's absolute love, in which hides the composer's philosophical ideas. It is of crucial importance to correctly understand Isolde's love in order to comprehend the whole opera. The writer of this thesis, form an actor's status, will explore and analyses the love so as to prepare a good epistemological basis for a correct performance of this opera. This thesis is consist of three parts:The first part: the happening of Isolde's Love. This part contributes enormously to the understanding of Isolde's love, of the whole opera and of wagnar's style. The second part: the development of Isolde's love. The contradiction of life and love is the concentrated representation of Isolde's love against secular contradiction. This contradiction goes through form the very beginning to the end of Tristan and Isolde's love, emerging itself into the contradiction of life against death, day against night, love in this life against love in paradise.
