A Study Of The Plastic Arts Of The Stone Paintings In Han Tombs In Beizhai Yinan Shandong Province

By the comparison of the methods in picture, style, visual aesthetics this paper analyzes the plastic arts of the stone paintings in Han Tombs in Yinan, which is the representative works of Han Paintings. The paper is framed in four parts: A survey of stone paintings; the content, cultural connotation, expressive approaches and features of the stone paintings; the historical status and influence of the stone paintings; the preservation and exploitation of the stone paintings. The paper focuses on the revealing of the expressive approaches, features, the forming of the elements of the plastic arts and the paintings' aesthetic connotation.The whole paper can be divided into four parts. First, it studies the background and regional distribution, and meanwhile introduces briefly the forming causes of the stone paintings in Yinan. Second, it analyzes the artistic content and rich cultural connotation expressed in Han stone paintings in Yinan. Third, it illustrates, from different angles, the layout and organization, the carving techniques, the mould of figures, the texture of the material and the sleek lines of the stone paintings. Fourth, it discusses Yinan stone paintings' status and influences on the whole Han paintings and their inherent relations with the other forms of arts before and behind them.The paper puts forward some new views on the basis of the entire analysis of the plastic arts of the stone paintings found in Han tombs in Yinan.
