A Study On The Interrelationships Between The Subjects And Objects In Literary Translation

Literary translation is a course of transmitting information. During the course, writers write the works, that is , writers send the information. The translators translate the information into other languages after reading and understanding the works. Finally, readers receive the information after reading the translated works. The aim of this essay is to discuss the interrelationships between the subjects and objects in translation. Here, people appearing in the course of translation are called subjects. The objects are writers' works and translated works. In the course of translating, we can see the writers' intention and ideology in their works, but the meaning of the works is not limited by the writers, It varies because of the reading and comprehending of different translators. The translators have dialogues with the writers through the works. While translating, the translators will be influenced by the writers and the readers of translated works and the translators themselves as well as their cultural and social environments, including the writers' works, too. Whether the translated works are good or not depends on the reflection of readers. The translated works are different from the former works. The later are not the copy of the former, but the afterlife of the former. The readers dialogue with the translators through the translated works.
