This paper is to study the theme of land revolution in modern Chinese literature, concentrating on the following three perspectives: the comparisons of the different novel narration, the movement of the intellectual's ideological remolding and the relationships between the land revolution and nationality, class & modernization. The author here is aiming to explore the achievements and shortcoming of the land- revolution novels. There are two almost contrast patterns of the land revolution writings, representing the positive & negative sides of the land revolution: one is in the form of the orthodox style, positively displaying the historical significance of the land revolution; the other is the unorthodox style, projecting the dark side of the land revolution. As a result, here arise controversies over the authentic affairs between them. The divergence of the two narration patterns are also reflected on the intellectuals' image during the process of their ideological remolding. The orthodox novels not only pay little attention to the narration and description of the intellectuals' image, but conceal their painful psychological struggle in the process of their ideological remolding. Meanwhile, the unorthodox novels of the land revolution focus on the point of the intellectuals' activities, directing on the irrational phenomenon in the land-revolution movement. In some subjects about the ethnic minority, the current study discovers the great concerns and emphasis on the relationship between land revolution & modernization. Thus the display of modernization becomes the major means of constructing the land revolution historical significance and urgency, however, such display is restricted by the construction of the contrary dual classes. Till the appearing of the new works by Fanwen, the display of modernization shakes off the restrictions of the narrow contrary perspectives.
