Wang Anyi is an outstanding female writer out of the rare ones in the Chinese contemporary literary circles. Although the attention has never been drawn away from her, the number of her works and the variety of her style make the critics fail to grasp them as a whole. This paper tries to combine the narrative style and the rhetoric of her novels together, draws the rhetorical factors into narration, and analyzes the narrative rhetoric. It mainly regards the narrative style as the thread and expounds the narrative rhetoric from three aspects that are the construction and interpretation of the narration, the language of narration and the construction of the narrative context. By mixing the three aspects and the narrative style of the text together, we can grasp the works of Wang Anyi as a whole. The author attempts to provide a new angle of the view for commenting Wang Anyi's novels.
