| Women in the Tang Dynasty impressed people for their unique spiritual appearance. The open environments at that time gave them considerable freedom and the literary atmosphere for the love of poetry encouraged them to participate actively in the poetry creation. The love poetry of the Tang Dynasty reflected the complicated and contradicted creation states. The first chapter of the thesis is on the relationship of the constitution of women poets, creation states and their social status. The second chapter analyses the character reflected in their love poetry to fight for free love and loyalty. The third chapter analyses the ideal role expectation and actual disadvantages of women poets in Tang Dynasty to discuss their poetry creation states: they could hardly be free from the limitation of sex role and go back to masculine ruled world. This thesis draws the conclusion: the two creation states con-exited in the love poetry creation of Tang Dynasty which reflects the conflict of self-spirits and sex role, the real life state of women in the Tang Dynasty. |
