The art education is the significant and constitutional part of education provider in developing education as well as an effective and necessary aspect for quality education. However, the art education is ignored in the school education for a long time, and always lies on the borderline. This situation blocked the development of art education seriously. Furthermore, we couldn' t talk about the art education's unique function in roundly promoting quality education. An important reason that causes this situation perhaps is that our recognition for the value of art education did not establish on the science theories. The Multiple Intelligences theory (MI) by Howard Gardner, however, provides the theoretical point for our education reforms as well as scientifically and entirely grasps the value of art education and functions. This theory provides a brand-new view of point for us exploring and surveying art education in exploiting individual- potential- value.From the view of Gardner's MI theory, the individual intelligence is not single but multiple, everyone enjoys multiple intelligences. The education provider has the obligation to exploit everyone' s potential intelligence and promote the individuals developing harmoniously and entirely.
