Dissertation On Fei Xiaotong's Country Reconstruction Idea

Since 1930s and 1940s, on the basis of the investigation into country communities, SirFei Xiaotong has proposed a highly constructive assumption------the country reconstructionidea. The first part of this essay mainly talks about the background and actual basis of the idea's formation, which include serious country economic crisis after 1830s, the rise of country construction and cooperation movements and the rise and fall of modern country industry, and records Sir Fei Xiaotong's growing experience and the direct influences of his relatives on his mind. The second part mostly sums up and clears up the details of Sir Fei Xiaotong's country reconstruction idea, which are generalized as "one core, one precondition,four conditions, three relations"------that is to regard developing country industry as the coreand solving praedial problems as the precondition, meanwhile there are four conditions of the assumed new forms of country industry's development. This part also talks about Sir Fei Xiaotong's reflections upon the relationship between decentralization and centralization incountry industry and upon the relationships between the three------country industry, heavyindustry and urban industry------in country reconstruction. The third part summarizes threefeatures of Sir Fei Xiaotong's country reconstruction idea: the values of focusing on the central task of economic development and of the resolution to lead people to a rich life; the development view of being concerned about peasants' life and of being people-oriented; the modernization view of being practical and realistic and starting from the realities of the country. At last, it can be concluded that Sir Fei Xiaotong's thought is especially scientific and predictable. Meanwhile, it also analyzes why Sir Fei Xiaotong's thought fails to be accepted by the society at beginning.
