The homosexual novels reveal people's views about sexual love, sexual passion and moral principles, which is a unique field worth studying. However, there is not enough attention and study on many of these novels. Therefore, this thesis takes these novels as the study object. Therefore, the thesis concentrates on three homosexual novels in the late Ming Dynasty: "Bian Er Chai", "Yi Chun Xiang Zhi ", "Long Yang Yi Shi" , trying to explore the cultural connotations and the notion about sex so as to discover the deep meaning of these novels from a cultural perspective, and to gain better understanding of them.Besides the introduction, there are four chapters:Chapter one summarizes the homosexual literature. Firstly, it introduces homosexuality and its various appellations in ancient China. Secondly, it describes the development of homosexual literature from Qin to Qing Dynasty.Chapter two summarizes the homosexual novels in the late Ming Dynasty. Firstly, it places these novels into the historical background of the late Ming Dynasty in order to penetrate into the reasons of its blooming. Then analyzes three novels ih the late Ming Dynasty: "Bian Er Chai", "Yi Chun Xiang Zhi ", "Long Yang Yi Shi" from the author , the edition and the content. These novels describe a large variety of homosexuality, directly or indirectly reflecting the social moral, and the social attitude of that time including both criticism and appreciation.Chapter three and chapter four are the key of whole thesis. Chapter three mainly analyzes the value transference of the heterosexuality by homosexuality, trying to discover the deep modal of homosexual novels. The homosexual novels in the late Ming Dynasty describe the emotion of the same sex, which is an imitation of heterosexuality and a value transfer of its internal essence, namely, taking as the evaluation basis and moral core to create an emotion ideal world for homosexuality. "Bian Er Chai" affirms the chastity, errantry, intensity, and rare love of the same sex. "Yi Chun Xiang Zhi" criticizes the debauchery, fickleness, and ruthlessness of homosexuality.
