The Comment On "Abolishing The Export Ban Of Gold" In Modern Times Of Japan

After the 1920'whether carrying out the policy of abolishing the export ban of gold was an important economic problem, which the Japanese government faced. In Both prewar and postwar period, its right and wrong effects had been extensively discussed by Japanese economic scholars, especially in postwar period, Japanese scholars deeply analyzed the history of such period on different angle, but we can still find many significant differences on the problem, Chinese scholars′ special works are not so many. Aiming at the flaw of studying in the Japanese economic history , the thesis explicates some own views. The thesis depends on the present achievement of Japanese economic history research, on the base of debating the establishment of gold standard system and questions of abolishing export ban of gold, using the method of combining history and discussion mainly, in it, the author makes an attempted explication on the history background of abolishingthe export ban of gold and influence on Japanese economic and society, and try to make a fair and objective appraisal. The thesis is mainly consist of four parts: In part one, the author mainly states the history of establishment of gold standard system in Japan. After establishment of gold standard system, Japan not only conformed to the transition trend from laissez-fair capitalism to monopoly capitalism, but also raised Japanese credit degree in Europe and America, at the same time, Japan also enhanced financial force to expand colony in Asia. In part two, the author state the reason for Japan government stopping gold standard system and insisting on the export ban of gold , then analyzes cause why Japan society demands to abolishing the export ban of gold. In part three, the author mainly narrates the Finance Ministry Inoue Junosuke lending by how to carry on and insist on abolishing the export ban of gold and why the policy failed at last. In last part, on the base of the content mentioned above, the author makes a concise summary on abolishing the export ban of gold, and explains the root cause of implementing the policy.
