| The issue of social and people's developments dominates a universal and special position. Therefore, it naturally becomes an urgent task for the contemporary theorists and scholars to study a well-off society and people's overall development. From the dialectical theory of the society and people's development, this paper analyses the relevant theories about people's overall development as well as Marxist theories of people's development, and then studies the essences, natures, and characteristics of people's overall development by comparing with the requirements and characteristics of development in an all-round well-off society. After analyzing the factors limiting people's overall development at present, this paper raises some strategies of how to promote people's overall development.
