| In final analysis, style is the characteristics of language use. Language is concrete, and therefore style is concrete and to a great extent analyzable. Linguistic stylistics approaches style via linguistic techniques and concepts. In this paper, literary style is the thematically or artistically motivated deviant language features. Based on the product translation evaluation model, the two English versions of Camel Xiangzi in the light of style reproduction are evaluated with the tool of linguistic stylistics. The only objective of this paper is to practically demonstrate the feasibility of linguistic stylistics in analyzing and exploring literary style in different languages and contexts and its importance as a tool promoting style reproduction in literary translation. |
