The text is a case study about the School of Education of HuaChung University, which opens out the tight relationship between Christian higher education and secondary education of central China through analyzing carefully the School of Education.The School of Education of HuaChung University established in 1930, which was the only School of Education of thirteen Christian universities. Its establishment had profound background. It acclimated the requirement of the current situation, which was more China and specialization of the Christian education. It also met the need of more Christianization and cooperation of itself. The aim of its establishment was not only to alleviate the crisis of teacher, but also to maintain the title of school was "HuaChung University", not "HuaChung College" .The School of Education of HuaChung University had several functions. Firstly, it was the cradle of middle school teachers and had an effectively mode to cultivate them; secondly, it was an institute, mainly researching the Christian education how to develop in China; thirdly, it was a social work organization, which object was the Christian middle schools of central China.The School of Education was just as a special department of HuaChung University and more like a bridge between HuaChung University and the Christian middle schools of central China. They shaped consanguineous relationship. HuaChung University planted teachers for Christian middle schools and the latter feed the university with graduates. They also established some educational organization for discussing and solving the problems. Even during Anti-Japanese War, they tried to keep the connection and held a meeting in the most difficult time.
