The Study On The New Words In Newspaper Based On The Concepts Of Time, Frequency And A New Words Discovering Software

This text is a research of new words in newspapers and journals based on the theme concepts "time" and "frequency" as well as the independently developed software of "new words discovering".This text proposed the method of new words researching based on "time" and "frequency". A new words discovering software was developed to choose and research the new words in a 130 million words corpus which contains all the texts in WenHui Bao and YangCheng Wan Bao of the year 2003 and 2004. This text got 263 new words from those two newspapers by operating the software. By analyzing these new words in the linguistic aspect, the reaching method based on the software and the concepts of "time" and "frequency" were successfully carried out.This text is divided into five parts. The first part is to propose the idea of researching new words on "time" and "frequency", firstly, the definition of new words from a new point of view: words that come out after 1980's in succession with a high frequency of appearance and a stable usage in a certain period of time. Then the method is brought out thereafter, which is: the research based on "time" and "frequency". The second part is the corpus of new words. It contains all WenHui Bao and YangCheng Wan Bao of the year 2003 and 2004. The third part is the useful new word that selected from texts in the corpus by the software. Part Four is the analyzing of the chosen words, and the lexical conclusion .Part five is the effects of this method from the aspect of regulating new words.This research method is significant either in theory or in practice. Firstly, the definition and research method of new words are new, which is researching by combining the corpus based on "time" and "frequency" and the very software. This method may not only solve the problems on the discovery and searching new words,but also helpful on regulating our language. Secondly, it is practically significant. It saves a large amount of resources and makes contribution to the rationality and practicality.
