The residents of the vassal state can reserve their intrinsic production, life style and the organizational institution. The government appointed Duwei of the vassal state to supervise and protect them . Based on the former studies , according to history, nationality and geography , this thesis tries to make a systematic study on the vassal state system of Western and Eastern Han dynasties . It consists of eight parts .The first part briefly discussed the condition of the study on the vassal state system in recent years .The second part discoursed upon the dissimilarity definition of the vassal state in history records . I think that the connotation of the vassal state is expensive . The vassal borderland state belongs to the vassal state . This thesis only discussed the vassal borderland state.The third part dredged up and discussed some content of the vassal state system of Western and Eastern Han dynasties .The fourth part discussed some vassal states that the Western Han dynasty established.The fifth part discussed some vassal states that Eastern Han dynasty established .The sixth part discussed some changes of the vassal state system in Eastern Han dynasty .The seventh part probed into the character and history function of the vassal state system in Han dynasties .1 think it was a special form that the policy of Jimi first step form and develop in ancient times , its positive effect is big in negative effect.The eighth part made a summery on the study of Dao system that similar to the vassal state system.
