This thesis, from the viewpoint of music-sociology.makes a tentative analysis and study on young Christians' music praise and worship activities in China's City churches, which is based on the cases of young Chistians' praising situation nowadays. The author introduces the processes of the activities, the characteristics of praise songs' resources, and church music training, etc. Then she reflects all these factors. In such an era that audio and video medias and computer technology are well developed, the music in young Christians' churches exsits among those social music activities with its new and fresh image and unstable characteristics, heading forward with the changes and development of time, era, cultures, customs and social ideologies.Through penetrating the young Christians' churches and meetings, and surveying their music lives, the author realizes that, in the background of cultural conflict and ferments, and among the cultural crosses of the music production between the local and those in Hong Kong, Tai Wan and other churches in Mainland, they are confronted with the options to the new music worship styles. The conceptions of "popularity" and "tradition" are worthy of being permenantly discussed amongst the Christians who are closely related to music worship activities. However, the newly-composed songs and modern worship styles will naturally arouse new disputes but supply solutions to them in China's Christian Music Circle. The research topic and study on this phenomenon can provide some references for the research on cultural history of music, from which we can see the changing track of Christianity Cultures' wide spreading in China, even throughout the world. |
