Liuyuxi, How He Surpassed The Tradition Of Relegated Literature

Relegation and relegated literature is special and important cultural phenomenon in Chinese history. It included the basic political character of feudal society, and exposed deeply the ancient officers ' living journey, which they walked straightly from the depressed environment to surpassing it for the perfect world. Liuyuxi is an important relegated poet in Chinese Art's history. Demotion made him suffered great trouble, and hurt both in body and spirit, but on the contrary, it is the demotion that stimulated his power and courage to express his gloomy and anger through literature and struggled with them. The relegated literature since The Book of Songs,including Quyuan's Chuci , Jiayi's relegated essays, Jiangyan's articles, till to Hanyu's, Liuzongyuan's masterpieces when they were demoted in Tang dynasty, those article were developed mostly in complaints and anger, what the writers they expressed are the holding bitterness, unrelieved worriment, as well as the anger and the hate for the corrupted officers. Liuyuxi made a breakthrough in the tradition relegated literature's type that is full of complaints and anger, not only he break the longest period of relegated record staying in Shu and Chu area (ancient name of Sichuan ,Hunan and Hubei provinces) for 23 years, but also created the new style of relegate literature, which is generous and marvelous, solemn and sharp, his optimistic mood, broke the old style of relegated literature which indulges in gloomy, isolated and angry atmosphere ,established the new writing way of relegation literature. My thesis focus on Liuyuxi relegated poems, and put them into the special historic development to compare, in order to see his inheritance of the traditional of relegated literature, especially Quyuan's spirit, which persisted in his desire, never regretful with what he had done, simultaneously, to inspect his masterpieces which were beyond the tradition relegated literature when he expressed his worriment ,complaints and rage, according to these details, we can understand a great elite, who was dedicated himself to saving the world and helping the government , was unfortunate to complete his desire, his special living desire, at the same time, we can see a kind of generosity of his, which is proud and independent, despising the trouble and stubbornness, confronting the bitterness, surpassing the difficulties ,in another word to describe it, a kind of charm of human being's courage and lofty.
