Research On The Writing Of Theory Of Literature Textbooks In New Period

Literature theory course is one of the important parts of Chinese mainland university's Chinese major. Theory of Literature, the textbook of this course, has been used about one hundred years. Its writing reflects the literary thoughts and ideas in different periods, and the practitioner's teaching notions as well. Now a new period is coming, literary research is entering a brand-new stage, the writing of Theory of Literature is switching from imitation to creation, and the textbooks with Chinese characteristic are forming, so it is essential to retrospect the writing of Theory of Literature textbooks. The writing of Theory of Literature textbooks for Chinese Universities begins from the offering of this course in China. With the rise of new education, this thesis tries to find out the beginning points and resources of the writing of textbooks in New Period in the process of learning western culture. As the important part of this thesis, the writing of textbooks in New Period is introduced in three parts-80's, 90's and the period from 2000 to 2004, June respectively. With accurate understanding on the historical and cultural background in New Period, the traits of these textbooks in different periods have been analyzed to find their developing trace. On the basis of historical materials, this thesis concludes the achievements and traits of the writing of textbooks in New Period in writing pattern and the changes of theories. Comparing with their predecessors, the writing of textbooks in New Period has broken through existed frames. At the same time, much attention has been paid to the aestheticism and conscious subjectivity of literary theory. Through retrospecting the writing of textbooks in New Period, something needs improving is found, such as its academic belonging, the writing system and content, the combination of literary theories'resources and so on. Based on what has been stated above, this thesis tries to find the solutions to those problems: making the literary thoughts clear, building an open system of writing; standardizing the system of the writing of textbooks, stopping waste of arts resources in universities; seeking solutions actively, trying to find a good way for the combination of literary theories at present. 21century coming, human's civilization is confronting the challenges from outside and inside, and the research on literary theories and the writing of Theory of Literary textbooks of are experiencing a strong strike. In this historical context, this thesis considers the problems of the writing of Theory of Literature textbooks facing 21century with a serious attitude and then puts forwards some presuppositions, such as sticking to the guidance of Marxism, starting from the Chinese present literary state; on the premise of sticking to Marxism, advocating the appearance of various models of the writing of textbooks; selecting academic resources of the textbooks Wisely, giving priority to the practicability and maneuverability of the textbooks and so on.
