The combination of literature and education can not only realize the value of literature and strengthen its educational functions, but also make educational ideas more readable and deeply rooted in people's mind. Educational novels are among the first-rate works to the purpose, which symbolize the convergence of literature and education most.Ye Sheng-tao is a famous educator and litterateur in China, who manufactured a number of educational novels on the modern literature history. On the basis of his double roles, the thesis starts with analyzing his educational novels and focuses on his representative works NI HUANG ZHI with the help of relationship between his personal experience and invention of educational novels in order to explore the educational ideas which it embodies continuously for the hope of summarizing Ye's educational ideas and thus inquiring the significance of literature reflecting the educational ideas.The thesis is made up of four parts. Part One concentrates on narrating the relationship between Ye's educational practice and literature invention.
