The Phonetic Changes Of The New Haimen Dialect

This thesis mainly researches the phonetic changes of new Haimen Dialect.lt begins with describing the phonetic system of the Haimen Dialect, under the researches of Prof. Zhang Huiying on Chongming dialect and Mr Yuan Jing on the Haimen dialect ,here puts out some new oppions to initials,fmials ,tones and makes a new system of the Haimen Dialect by interview and comparison.There are phoneme /v/ but not /fv/,and /hfiA /fi/are deleted as initials .Then it researches the phonetic changes of New Haimen Dialect from two aspects : changes of the initials, towels and tone sandhi.There are simulation ,dissimlation ,lost,combination,line changes in the former,it is the most important mathod "the tone extending of word"from Prof. Wang Ping used in the later, the examples are extentive and careful,the method is especial,both of which simplify tone sandhi . At last it compares the dialects of Haimen with Shanghai and Changzhou to discover the relations between them .The aim of this thesis is to record the Haimen dialect now being used to put historical materials to late researches.
