Research On The Influence Of The Seat's Material To Its Form

As a kind of physical culture, furniture is a reflection of different nationalities and times. Its evolvement is an outcome of human being's evolution and society's advancement, and its form is the physical and spiritual civilization's coherence of a country or a nationality. Among kinds of furniture, chair is the one that can delegate the furniture.In this thesis, firstly, the author points that the material is one of crucial factors that, result in the evolvement of chairs, after he briefly introduces the development history of chairs. Then, he specializes the two material's changes during the Chinese chair evolvement, and the case that western countries achieved to realize the leap of the chair development on utilizing the modern materials, and testifies his own viewpoint.Secondary, the author analyses the development trend of sorts of the materials of chairs, such as wood, metal, bamboo, cane, plastic, paper and other accessorial materials. At the same time, he indicates that a various tendency will be ineluctable.Finally, the author aims at the situation of China, and brings forward a piece of suggestion of making good use of bamboo under modern techniques.
