Literature is an art of languages, so the essential proposition to literature is that of languages. What about this in classical literatural theory of China concentrated on the debate of "Language Doesn't Give The Fullness Of The Concept In The Mind". The importance of this theory is that it is not only a proposition about languages, but also a system of theories which actually included a series of classical literatural theories of China , such as "The Poem Articulates What Is On The Mind Intently","The Poem Followes From The Affections","Establish The Images To Give The Fullness Of The Concepts In The Mind" and "Gain The meanness and then Forget The Image" and so on .The Theory of "Language Does Not Give The Fullness of The Concept In The Mind"has an directly effect on the artistic traits of Chinese classical poems.This paper from five aspects explains the theory of "Language Does Not Give The Fullness Of The Concept In The Mind".I. The presentation and the developping process of the theory of "Language Does Not Give The Fullness of The Concept In The Mind". The theory of "Language Does Not Give The Fullness Of The Concept In The Mind "is a philosophy question which reflected the contradiction between the existance and man's expressing methods.It has been an important proposition in the philosoply realm due to its development from Lao Chuang to Wang Bi who lived in the Dynasty of Wei-Jin. It was during the Period of the Dynasty of Wei-Jin that it played an important role in literatural field. It was proceedingly explained and created by a lot of people , such as Lu Ji,Liu Xie,Zhong Rong,Jiao Ran,Sikongtu,Yan Yu and Wan Shizheng and so on . As a result , a series of specifie litertural theories came into being.II. The resource resulting in the theory of "Language Does Not Give The Fullness Of The Concept In The Mind "This idea stemed from the pre-maturity of Chinese people's looking down upon ghost and looking up to person and works ,the union between nature and man and intuition and wholly thoughts . Such thoughts continually developed and at last it become into the core of Dao Philosophy . The system of rites and Music during the period of pre-Qin paid a lot of attention to the music , which also influenced the happenning of the theory of " Language Does Not Give The Fullness Of the Concept In The Mind ".III. Will and Affections-----The Meaning which poems can't express.The theory of "Language Does Not Give The Fullness Of The Concept In The Mind " showcased the contradiction between language and expressing targets . So does that in the realm of Literature . And then what is the expressing targets of poetic language? As far as this is concerned , there is a law in Chinese classical literatural theories, i.e. "The Poem Articulates What Is On The Mind Intently " and " The Poem Follows From The Affections ", which are the basic theories in Chinese classic poetic theories . The time when the theories came into bing and their emphasis are different , but the will in the actual creation is always connected with the affections . The "Will "refers to man's ideal and philosophic viewpoint and manifested itself in the thoughts of Ru to be the "Kindness " , which is people's will and ideal to change society and himself . After Affections refer to man's passion and emotion which different from different persons and simul taneously influeneed by the traditionally culture . The will and affections in Chinese classical poems is so complicated and deepenning that we have more difficulty to describe them. As a result , we pay much more attention to the meaning which is behind the words and is disguise itself in the poetic languages . IV.
