| After world war II, with increase of number of the Chinese in the U.S. and improvement of their quality , the Chinese's economy developed diversely and rapidly. Especially in some industries, the Chinese obtained great achievements. It is quite different from the undeveloped state before the war. Prewar, the economy of the Chinese was pushed aside and oppressed. The three as follows are the main reasons of the rapid economic development of the Chinese after the war.Firstly, postwar, American social environment was very open and free, which offered a good atmosphere for the economic development of the Chinese. American new land settlement policy made Chinese number larger. It provided the most important manpower base. The changing attitude of American mainstream society toward the Chinese and the American economy policies also had positive effects on the economy of the Chinese.Secondly, the Chinese in the U.S. possessed internal factors of Chinese civilization, which became the inner drive of the economic development of the Chinese. These factors included the Chinese population structure, the national connection network, the traditional cultural ideas, Confucian notions in family companies, the Chinese survival choice and their adaptive ability.Thirdly, the Chinese businessmen had commercial competitive spirit, which made the Chinese survive and develop in the fiercely competitive American market. The Chinese in the U.S. centralized in the industries: restaurant and tour trade, manufacture, commerce and retail trade, finance and real estate trade, electron and information trade. The Chinese businessmen held powerful competitive strength and keen commercial wit, and used suitable competitive strategies, so they achieved extended progress in those above trades. |
