Buddhism stems from the human world and is in the service of it. Based on human beings, we should comply with the developments of the times to pay more attention to the improvement and the perfection of the realistic human life; vividly combining the Buddhadharma with the Ordinary Dharmas, which conforms to human desire and the principles of the times, so it has the powerful force of life. What the Buddhist should do is not only practice, pray, worship or confess to the Buddha, but also make concerted efforts with other followers of Buddhism to enter into the lives of common people and spread the Buddhadharma by their own wisdom and ability even to the extent of understanding the sufferings and needs of all living creature, then offering the help, performing the discipline of the Bodhisattva. Buddhadharma is in the human world. It should be used commonly and flexibly. Not only to take it to the remote places; not only to chant the name of the Buddha or go to be born in the Pure Land of Amitabha; not only to put it in a garret, but also to root it deeply into the inner part of the human heart and flexibly apply it to everyday life. What is more, we should join the mercy and wisdom of the Buddha into the temple services and put it into action. That is why we say, "Buddhadharma is not separated from the Ordinary Dharmas".
