She called for the real existence and the light of saluation for the dark world.Section one: Here is the discussion of three states of existence displayed by the people living on the black land who deceived themselves. In her many texts, such as Life and Death Place and the Biography of Hunan River, etc., Xiao Hong was watching people's existence on the black land attentively with tragic soul: primitive and uncivilized. This was the existence of being-in-itself. The sub members of the nationality on the black land were too blameless to live in the established practice that the ancestors had left for them particularly without any complaints. Their all words and deeds were complied with public suggestions that hadn't changed for thousands of years and passed on from generation to generation. They regarded other people's opinions as the only measure of themselves and caught up with their own existence from others. All in all, they lived not for themselves, but for others. Ma Bo Le refused to face the undesirable reality and refused to bear his own destiny. Feng Er Cheng Zi lived a life of inanity after consciousness. They were both in the state of escaping and degradation.Section Two: Freedom of choice and nihility of existence. Women'sbody was the life-and-death space in young Xiao Hong's eyes. She was exeremely frightened by the marriage, child-bearing and death, and was driven to despair because of women's profound and painful fate. This excited Xiao Hong and she had the encourage and strength to struggle. Xiao Hoang set foot on the lone journey and ran towards the freedom and uncertain future. After Xiao Hong and her protaganists had gone through huge grief, huge loneness and huge despair, she began to weaken pursuing, struggling and criticizing and revealed obvious loss, perplexity and nihility because of dreary sense of awakening.Section three: Going home in spirit and saluation on soul. During the time when Xiao Hong was in Harbin, Tokyo and Hong Kong, she instrospected and reflected her personality of childhood in the home-missing works. These works were also the seek of the origin of her. Xiao Hong constructed the spiritual hometown being trinity of "old man, child, garden" that was full of warm love in the Biography of the Hunan River. With the help of recollective, Xiao Hong sang of the song that pleaded for the sacred lif of love.Epilogue: Xiao Hong knocked resolutely on the door of existence with her flesh and blood.
